Free onsite parking
Off-street parking behind the building, included with the room. Utes, vans and trailers are the normal traffic here rather than the exception — call ahead if you are bringing something long and we will tell you what is realistic.

◆For work stays
A practical base in the middle of town for tradespeople, site crews and contract workers. Free parking, a real kitchen, breakfast included and an ensuite in every room.
◆Straight up
Contractor accommodation in Cessnock usually comes down to four things: somewhere to put the vehicle, somewhere to cook, somewhere to wash without queuing, and someone who does not mind a five o’clock start. Vine Valley Inn covers all four, in the town centre rather than out on a highway verge.
What follows includes the parts that are not ideal, because you will find them out on night one anyway and we would rather you booked knowing.
◆What works◆
Nothing here is a feature invented for this page — it is the same inn our winery-weekend guests book, described for the job you are actually doing.
Off-street parking behind the building, included with the room. Utes, vans and trailers are the normal traffic here rather than the exception — call ahead if you are bringing something long and we will tell you what is realistic.
Stove, oven, toaster and basic cooking materials in the shared kitchen, plus a bar fridge and microwave in the room. On a stay measured in weeks rather than nights, cooking a few of your own meals is the difference that adds up.
Complimentary self-service continental breakfast — bread and toaster, cereal, fruit, jam and spreads. Help yourself and go, rather than waiting on a dining room to open.
No shared bathrooms and no queue at six in the morning when three of you are trying to get to the same site.
Free Wi-Fi throughout, for timesheets, site reports, variations and the calls home at the end of a long day.
Vincent Street puts you between the vineyards to the north-west and Kurri Kurri and the expressway to the east, so most sites in the area are a straightforward run either way. Food and a chemist are a walk away when you finish late.
◆No surprises◆
The details that catch people out on a longer stay. None of them are deal-breakers if you know about them first — all of them are annoying if you do not.
Booking a crew
Multiple rooms on the same dates are worth a phone call rather than separate online bookings — reception can keep the crew together and sort arrival times in one go.
Call (02) 4991 4712Standard times, and worth knowing if you are driving in after a full day elsewhere. Late arrival can be arranged — but it has to be arranged before you get here, not from the car park at eleven.
Monday to Saturday 8:30 AM - 8:00 PM; Sunday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Self and contactless check-in may be available by prior arrangement, sometimes with conditions or a charge. Tell us your finish time when you book and we will sort it then.
That keeps the rate practical rather than paying for a service most long-stay guests do not want. Fresh towels or a tidy can be arranged on request during reception hours — just ask at the desk.
All of them, without exception, and it is enforced. There is a refundable security deposit of up to $300 that may be requested at the property's discretion, which is where a smoking breach would land.
We do not advertise a standing weekly rate. If you have a crew or a run of nights, call reception and talk it through — that is a real conversation about your dates, not a form.
◆Which one to book◆
All three of these have a private ensuite, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and parking. The difference is beds and floor space.
The restaurants, pubs and takeaway of central Cessnock are a walk from the door — no second drive after a long shift.
◆Work stays
Anything not covered, ring reception on (02) 4991 4712 — a two-minute call settles most of it.
Yes. Tradespeople, site crews and contract workers are a regular part of who stays here, particularly midweek. Call reception with your dates and how many of you there are, and we will tell you straight away what we can do.
We do not publish one. Rates depend on the dates, the rooms and how many nights, so the honest answer is to ring and ask rather than quote you a number here that might not apply. Reception can be reached on (02) 4991 4712.
There is free off-street parking onsite for guests, and work vehicles are normal here. Space for anything oversized or a trailer is worth confirming by phone before you arrive rather than assuming on the night.
Yes. The shared guest kitchen has a stove, oven, toaster and basic cooking materials, and there is a bar fridge and microwave in the room. There is a supermarket within walking distance for supplies.
Self check-in and contactless check-in may be available by prior arrangement. Late check-in must be communicated with Vine Valley Inn before arrival; charges or conditions may apply.
Security cameras operate in external and common areas — not inside rooms or bathrooms — and parking is off-street behind the building. We would still say the same thing any property would: do not leave tools visible in a vehicle overnight.
◆The rest of it◆
The lounge, the dining room and the breakfast are the same ones the weekend guests use, and the building has more character than a work stay usually gets. Plenty of contractors have told us that mattered more than they expected by the end of the second week.
◆Direct booking
Ring reception with your dates and crew size and we will work out rooms and arrival times together. Online booking is there if a single room on set dates is all you need.
