The space

The largest space we have, with somewhere to sit

Space is the whole argument here. Families settle in for a few nights, spread out, and use the seating corner in the evening once the day is done. It suits winery weekends where the group is mixed, family outings built around the Gardens, and the occasional four-adult booking that wants to stay together.

Deep green walls and colourful bedding, with a seating area set apart from the beds rather than squeezed against them. A bar fridge, a smart TV and a tea and coffee station sit along one side. The ensuite has a walk-in shower and a vanity with space to actually put things down.

Housekeeping and fresh towels

Daily automatic servicing is not guaranteed so rates can remain practical. Fresh towels or a room tidy can be arranged on request during reception hours.

Who books it

Two adults and two children, most of the time. It is also the one to ask about when four adults are travelling together and would rather not split across two bookings.

Fitting it to the trip

Guests who book this are usually building a trip around Hunter Valley Gardens or the wildlife park, both a short drive north-west. After a full day out, having somewhere to sit that is not the end of a bed matters more than anyone expects when they book.

Worth saying plainly

It is one large space, not separate bedrooms. If you need a door between the children and the adults, this is not the right choice — call reception and they will talk you through what else is free on your dates.

What families ask before booking

Anything not answered here, call (02) 4991 4712 — reception can confirm bedding, access and availability in a minute.

Is it one space or separate bedrooms?

One large space. The beds and the seating corner are in the same area, divided by furniture rather than a wall. Families who want a door between the adults and the children should call reception before booking so we can suggest something that suits.

Can a fifth guest be added?

Sometimes. An extra guest can be arranged on request, depending on the dates and what bedding is available. It is not automatic, so confirm it with reception rather than assuming when you arrive.

How far is Hunter Valley Gardens?

About 11 km, or roughly a 13-minute drive out along Broke Road. Allow considerably longer in the evening during the Christmas Lights season, when the traffic out to Pokolbin slows right down.

Can we make our own breakfast for the children?

Yes. There is a bar fridge, microwave and toaster in the space, and the shared guest kitchen has a stove, oven and basic cooking materials. Complimentary continental breakfast is also laid out as self-service, so early risers do not have to wait.

Is there parking right outside?

There is free off-street parking onsite for guests, behind the building. Spaces are not allocated to particular rooms, so arriving earlier in the evening generally means a shorter walk with the bags.
